- Wedding: June 2012
Hi all, I have gotten PMs to post more pictures, so here they are! I got married on June 30th in Philadelphia at Saint John the Evangelist Church and the reception was at The Franklin Institute. The cocktail hour was in the exhibits—which was SO fun! Then we danced the night away in the marble rotunda, with Ben Franklin looking on. My mom, wedding coordinator (Natalie Diener), the coordinators at The Franklin Institute, and our florist (Table Art) all were amazing—and I planned for 9 months…and everything was PERFECT! I honestly could not have wished for anything better. All pictures are from our AMAZING photographer—Steve Worth.
Our invites from (former blogging bee Mrs. Cupcake at Curious + Company:
My dress—Vera Wang Hayley (it was the 2nd one I tried on, and I instatnly knew it was THE one)!
It took a lot of help putting it on!
See what I mean about it being the one?!
Walking down the aisle with my dad—one of the highlights of the day
ahh! It’s official—we’re maried!
First stop as Mr. & Mrs.—obligatory Philly photos on Broad Street!
Me & my maids in front of the library. Fittingly, I am a writer—and Dickens wrote my all-time favorite book, Great Expectations
candid walking shot…how very british of us?! Notice the Art Museum in the background..where Rocky ran up the steps..it was WAY too hot for us to run them that day.
the whole wedding party, minus one very tired flower girl/niece at the Logan Circle Fountain
the inside of the Franlkin Institute has some amazing spots for pictures. It’s a science museum, and I love how it’s unique, funky, and classic all at the same time!
My hubby (eek!) was loving the plane!
here’s a peek into the reception room…more on that later..
flowers and BOGO
Ben Franklin presiding over the reception…I think he approved!
That’s all for now…I promise recap part 2 really soon!
