I’m sure this is weird, but whenever I hear about how girls with huge dresses have to get their bridesmaid to help them pee, I always wonder what happens if you have your period on your wedding day!

I’m on the pill so I can control it, I assumed that’s what most girls do but I guess there’s plenty that can’t/don’t take the pill for various reasons.

@Quinlan:  I’m the same bc pill is not an option for me!! I didn’t even think about it in the planning but if it were to happen it would be adisaster for me as It is so heavy. It caused serious anaemia for me the past and doc prescribed these tablets to significantly reduce it, NOT bc. If I was in that situation I’d be heading straight for the doc. Maybe an option.

Maybe that is what I had. I know it was often used in surgery to prevent  haemorrhaging. Sounds similar alright.

@Quinlan:  We have a 1 year 8 month engagement. I checked 6 months ago and I will have Aunt Flo on the second day of my Honeymoon. Damn! Can you imagine how emo I’ll be right before my wedding? Hopefully I’ll be mentally prepared. 🙂

i planned my wedding date AROUND my period because honestly i do not want my wedding night a mess or my wedding day. :] I have been tracking my monthly for the past year just to make sure on accuracy.  I get SO grouchy and stressed before so i made sure to pick a date that would work. ;] i am SO on top of this. haha.

@MeiFrancis:  +1 on having a Diva Cup. I love that little thing. If AF comes on wedding day, it won’t be a bother at all.

I did not plan anything around that though.

Nope, I’m on BC so even if it were going to fall on that day, I’d make sure it didn’t! 😉

http://www.kotex.com/na/period-planners – thought this made it super simple, you can always find a range, if you are anywhere from 28 days – 35 just figure out each combo.

If you need a plan for changing your cycle, try the morning after pill. Its starts your period right away and then you wont get it for a full cycle after that. As far as I know anyway.

My cycle was too irregular to plan ahead.  Even the cycle before, it looked like Aunt Flo was set to arrive on our wedding day.  Luckily, I started a week early.  Whew!
That said, if you can make a Diva Cup work for you…it is AWESOME.  I couldn’t use it until after I got married/lost my v-card, but once I could, life was a lot easier.

I’m on the Nuvaring, so I have predicted/adjusted when I will be on my period! I do not want to be bloated!
