- Wedding: July 2015 - Bali
We are having a Destination Wedding in Bali, where the price of wine is exorbitant! The wines they offer are really expensive and not the best quality. We could bring some with us from Australia, but I don’t know how much we would need, and it seems like alot of trouble.
This is what we have decided to offer instead:
Cocktails (Caipirosca, Cosmopolitan, Pina Colada, Mojito)
Juices/soft drinks etc
Do you think this would work? Do you think people will mind not having wine?

When you travel tropical most of the time they have shitty wines. I think its ok to do, do they have a reasonable champaigne there? or maybe bring a few bottles of there with you for toasing. Thats the only thing that you would miss as far as wines go.

I would be okay with it, but I am not a big wine drinker. Even so, I think your guests would be understanding. You are still providing other options!

I just want to say that I had an very expensive open bar at my wedding and the majority of ppl still drank the relatively cheap wine that was on the tables….. some people even asked if their was more wine when it ran out….I told them no, but they could go to the open bar which had alot of top shelf liquor and i remember one person frowning at me and another saying no im good thanks…..I dont really get why but wine seems to be extremely popular at weddings, even when other, better liquor is available!!
