Currently on vacation in Orlando with my family and SO coming in from Trinidad. I should have had my suspicion from the moment we were at immigration/customs and my dad referred to my *giggles* then SO as my fiance to the officer. I brushed it off as him not wanting our relationship to sound too casual.
Prior to leaving Trinidad my SO suggested that I walk with special clothes to go to dinner. Wow something must be wrong with me lol… I brushed that off as well, thinking since we’ll be stuff with my parents (who are extremely religious so no cuddling etc) he just wanted some time alone.
He decided that we would go to Nick’s Grill at the Marriott Grande Vista resort where we were staying. I said ok let’s go there but I won’t dress up because that would be weird. He went all crazy saying noooooo you have to dress up, so you’ll feel extra special etc…
He makes a reservation for the Ritz Carlton at Grande Lakes. I looked it up online and I saw they have a beautiful outdoor area which I thought would be perfect. When we got there the outdoor area was closed for a private function. aww shucks!
The people there were so nice they offered to set up a table for us outside overlooking a beautiful lake and the sunset. I kept saying throughout the dinner “tonight is so perfect and I can’t think of it getting any better”. He kept asking me if i’m sure. We had a great food and wine. After dining, we sat for a while just talking, enjoying the moment and he suggested we take a short walk. Instead of pulling out the chair for me to get up, he stood by my side and said the most romantic things ever, then he got down on one knee and said the infamous words “will you marry me?” *squeals* YESSSSSSSSSSSSS of course ^_^
I’m still speechless, it was so perfect.
Here is a pic of my sparklyyyy. It’s from the valina bridal collection.
