My dress is going to white. I know what you mean by not looking great in all colors. I didn’t particularly care for how some diamond whites looked looked on me. Our wedding colors are black and white with blue accents so I really wanted a white dress.

Im extra choco (see girl in avatar for comparison) and I’m not sure if I should go with  true true white or an ivory.  I dont think I want anything too dark like a champage or coffee color.  What do you guys think.

Ivory bordering on latte is what I’m aiming for.

@Aubergold: I actualy think you will look gorgeous in either white or ivory. I wouldn’t suggest you do a diamond white…but regular white would look great.

My dress is diamond white with pewter accents. I looked good in white white, but the details on the dress stood out better with diamond white.

I have a slightly of white. It is definitely white, but not blinding. I had initially been sure I would go with champagne or ivory, but one thing I learned from shopping is that a lot of those choices have more to with th edress and the fabric than my skin tone per se.

My dress is going to be white. I always wanted a white wedding dress and I prefer that color on my skin tone. But since most of the wedding dresses I tried on have been in ivory, sometimes it’s hard to really be 100% sure which color is right for me.

my dress is ivory, though i did try on several that were white or diamond white that looked fine as well. im tan (or “brown paper bag,” as i used to be called as a kid) so anything seemed to work for me. although when i tried on a diamond white dress, my mom thought it was too stark white on me. oh well!

Mine is white! I am extreeeeeeemely light and originally wanted an ivory dress thinking that the white would wash me out. But I moved to a darker hair color and that allowed me to buy the white dress with confidence.

ugh–if if could have bought a brown or dark pink dress, I would have! those colors look soo much better on me than white or ivory. . it is my pet peeve that the traditional US ‘white wedding dress’ custom was definitely not developed with our skin in mind! i personally think the darker the shade of ivory, the better I look. . .but I ended up going with a normal ivory dress. definitely not white, it makes my skin look so harsh.

ps. i realize i technically COULD have bought a different colored dress–but my mom would have flipped out.

Miss Tattoo-a latte color sounds beautiful!
