Hello Ladies,

My name is Danielle my Fiance and I will be jumping the broom on June 18,2011.( That’s if I can find a venue)….  I’m in Atlanta and everything is booked or hella high!  But for now I found a old victorian house outside of Atlanta.  I haven’t stated any DYI projects yet.  But I must say these ladies on here got some skills.  I would like to see if anyone knows how to do program/ fans.  Since I was having an outside wedding I thought the program/fan thing would be neat!  My colors are grey, pink, and white.  The guest count is around 150 creeping up to around 200. Since the venue is victorian I wanted to do my hair in a blonde (not ghetto) I wear blonde alot and have had alot of good complaints…..  But I would like to have it maybe a soft finger weave you know  that old hollywood glam theme w/ a bridcage……  Also, thanks alot  Miss Tattoo, I was wondering where my sista’s were at!!!

P.S Turgerm those shoes are HOTT!!!!

@Bride 2011: mine was semi-DIY. I bought it from another bride. It looked like this when I bought it…

The fascinator was honestly from claire’s for like $2.25 on sale and I bought a bracelet for $9 and cut it apart to hot glue the rhinestone to it. I will pm you my tutorial (it’s against the rules for me to post my blog info here…)

@Bride 2011: I pm’d it to you (check the top next to your profile with a link to my tutorial). Have fun you won’t believe how easy it was!! I also replaced the glue dot with hot glue to make it a bit sturdier.

@Miss Tattoo: I don’t have any photos in my dress yet, but I’m not sure I want to post one yet as I’ve never seen my dress on the boards here & I kind of like that ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s nothing extravagant or anything, maybe it’s just not a popular style for the bees?

@plannergirl: Both of my brothers had huge weddings—300+ & 400+ respectively. I was a bridesmaid in both of their weddings and realized for them it was great. They are both very much “the life of the party” and they thrive on being the center of attention. I also realized that it is definitely not for me. I tend to be more laid back and shy away from the attention. Fiance & I are both really family oriented, so we  whittled our families down tot he 110 people who mean the most to us and we’ll go from there. My parents were not pleased as they each wanted to invite 100+ people (likely why my brothers’ weddings were so large) bit Fiance & I have put our foot down and stood our ground for our intimate wedding ceremony & reception.

@trugem: The postage increase was not approved so you are good for now, but I am definitely going to purchase some forever stamps to stretch my pennies well into next year.  Oh, and not only are we getting married on the same date, we’re both getting married at 5:30, but I think you are on Central time so that means I’ll be heading down the aisle an hour before you ๐Ÿ™‚ Your invitations are lovely!

Hi everyone!

I’m Miss Elephant and we’re planning a blue and green wedding for about 150 in Texas.  I’m trying to spread my DIY projects out over our long engagement to help the time pass and not be stressed out closer to the wedding.  I can’t believe we’ll be down to 6 months in just a couple of weeks!
