Ok Bees we love that special man in our lives BUT there are also something(s) that they do/have that irks you..
What pet peeve do you have about FI/DH?
- My pet peeve is him leaving scraps on the plate & teabag in an empty cup instead of dumping it in the garbage (guess who ends up doin it and washing it??)

When he “washes” dishes, he basically just waves a sponge at them and throws water on them. I can’t wait until our dishwasher is fixed!

Every morning I make Fiance and I shakes for breakfast. He NEVER cleans out his glass or the blender and it gets all crusty and gross. Why is it so hard for guys to do that??

When he leaves his clothes in the middle of the bedroom floor, and when he stands over my shoulder while I am cooking. And the biggest one is when we are in bed he wraps his legs around mine, It really bothers my nerves and I end up jumping out of bed.

He will not put his stupid dishes in the dishwasher! It drives me nuts…he stacks them on the counter whether the dishwasher is empty or not.
He also likes to cook with the fry-daddy and I LOATHE it. Hate with a fiery passion. It STINKS! And, um, I’d like you to be around for a long time, asshole, so stop plugging your arteries with gross fat. It’s gross. Thanks.

oh.. i dont have a lot of kitchen cleaning issues with my Fiance cuz hes as chef and the kitchen needs to be SPOTLESS..he will spend hours cleaning it top to bottom… the thing is tho..the rest of the house he falls short on!!!
and worse…he takes off his socks from a 14hr day of working in a hot kitchen and LEAVES them on the living room floor.. i wish instead of me running away from them that they run themselves to the wash!!!
the other thing is.. he works hard and alot- so he comes home and crashes on the sofa almost DAILY..well thats not an issue but when i go up to bed- he doenst stir, and usually after ive just fallen asleep between 1-3 AM he comes to bed..and brings the CAT so they both wake me up everynight… i dont know what non broken sleep is!!!

When he gets undressed in random areas of the house and leaves theclothes on the floor… I could handle it just fine if he did that in the bedroawesome the living room?? Come on now!

LOL the posts on this thread are hilarious- I’m glad I am not alone!!! My Fiance is SO MESSY and I’m a crazy, obsessive, clean person. I spend half of my time at home getting the house back in order/back to the state it was in before I left in the first place. But if I had to list the ONE THING that drives me nuttier than all others:
He refuses to towel off in the shower, so when he steps out, he gets water everywhere (think: wet dog shaking its fur). We have had the conversation countless times (It grosses me out to step on a wet floor), but it’s a change he just can’t make (even when he tries). He actually has been relegated to the guest bathroom, which is pretty mean on my part, but it seems to work out for us. He can be wet and gross, and I can be dry and tidy. Ah, the comprimises we make for love <3

He squeezes from the middle of the toothpaste tube, and then will refuse to squeeze the rest of the toothpaste from the bottom if it’s running out. He makes me do it every time.

leaves the cupboard doors open…i always know when he’s been in the kitchen or bathroom. He literally NEVER shuts a cupboard door after he has been in it…NEVER!

It bugs me that he can have a go at me for not putting somethign away properly but he is a HUGE GIANT BLACK KETTLE. OMG, yesterday the cover was still off the lawnmower in the rain from him using it the night before, cover NEVER gets put back on the BBQ, he cleaned the bath counter and left the wipes and container out all over the place, made a pizza and then pizza stone, oven gloves, other trays from the oven – out all over the place. The phone? dead, on the table from last time he used it.
If i do any of this I have to listen to a lecture explaining how inconvenient it is for him, and how things rust if you leave the in the rain blah blah blah.

He never wipes the kitchen counters. We have this deal where I cook dinner and he cleans up after it. But unless there is like a HUGE obvious splash of tomato sauce or something, he just puts all the dishes/pots in the dishwasher and does not sweep up crumbs or spray/wipe the counters up. IMO All of the counters should be cleaned after dinner because food tends to splatter when it is cooked and it is really hard to see someitmes w/ our countertop where the crumbs are.
This also applies for non-dinner times if he spills something. Like if he pours a drink and it splashes, or dishes himself some ice cream and some of it melts on the counter.
It drives me nutty and I’ve asked him a few times but usually if I point it out he is just like “oh i forgot sorry.” But he forgets all the time and then it makes me a little ragey lol.
(Although 99% of the time I just do it myself because it doesn’t seem worth fighting about)

@2PeasinaPod: <– this WAS an issue at first, but now we each have our very own tube of toothpaste. Mine is pressed and rolled neatly, from the bottom… his, well, let’s just say you can take one look and know which one is his 😉

He gets a new glass every time he goes to drink water and leaves them ALL OVER the apartment. And he has ten million pairs of socks, which are also everywhere. He has a whole walk in closet to store his stuff, yet somehow his socks end up everywhere BUT there.
