It has taken me FOREVER to find a cake I wanted. I was stuck on wanting a lace cake. Well ladies….I found what I really really wanted! Damask!!! I have been in love with this print for a really long time I even want to decorate our guest room in Damask! So here are my Cakespiration photos!! I am thinking light ivory base and white damask over! 🙂

@jesssamesssa: Pretty! I like how the last two cakes alternate between layers. I love a bit of an eclectic look though. 🙂

@GoldStar: Oh yes I am pretty sure I am going to go with the pink and white cake. But it will be ivory and white like the one above it! 🙂 I cant wait to see it in person!!

The damask in the middle with the quilted layers on top and bottom looks beautiful!
@Aquaria, The cakes pictured above all look to be cakes covered in fondant with the damask pattern stenciled over it with royal icing.

@EveryDayofForever: Yep, I saw a little video of how to do it on youtube to see if it was doable for any baker and it is. You buy the stencil and you put this on fondant or buttercream. I am doing butter cream since I hate fondant. You just have to freeze the buttercream cake before you apply another layer of buttercream with the stencil.
