Yes!

This happened to me earlier writing a post about my friend having an affair and how she dislikes her husband and it changed it to ‘darling husband’…:I really don’t think that fits with the post….

The B-F thing is driving me nuts. It’s making bees sound like they’re not entirely sure what their relationship with him is, haha. “He MIGHT be my boyfriend?”

If the Bee gods haven’t abandoned us, please fix this.

Honestly, I’m in the minority as someone who dislikes the abreviations. And people only use them to save time, soooo . . . If you write D H, when I read along my brain still marks you as someone who refers to your guy as “Darling Husband.” For weeks I actually thought it was “Dear Husband.” Turns out it’s a lot worse. Lol

This thread gave me a much needed laugh! So funny!

I’m curious about

STD

Aww I was kind of hoping it would be “Save the date or Sexually transmitted disease”

I was reading an old thread last night and the OP mentioned their blood pressure. But abbreviated. So it just kept saying bridal party all through the post and it was so weird and kind of amusing.

Yes indeed, I mean in real life does anybody actually say my Darling Husband unless its being  sarcastic  about the  (not) washing up !

It took me a year to get used to ETA not being estimated time of arrival  and a  nursing bee  said  she just could’t   with the the bm for bridesmaid , since  bm always meant bowel movement  to her.   And , of  course, STD , well.

I just went through an old ring thread comparing new to old cuts and I kept reading the “Ring Bearer” type of diamond and its sparkle, so I started wondering whether this was some sort of company? Until I realized that Weddingbee is auto-translating the R B abbreviation for round brilliant to ring bearer even for old threads. C’mon now… R B means “round brilliant” like 99% of the time here, so at least translate it to that.

So this explains why the other day it changed Maid of Honor to “Maid/Matron of Honor”. I was a little sleepy and distracted when I wrote it, so I thought perhaps I was losing my mind. But there it was lol.

Thank God for this post! I put STD(s) earlier in response to a husband’s post about his wife’s past intimacy. I was trying to say my husband and I got tested for STD s and I put the s with and it changes to Save The Dates. I was like wtf is this!?

Darling Husband and I got tested for Save-The-Date Cards.

Please, please dear mods, can the  tech/design staff stop this silly  abbreviation thing? , I mean , look at this   “I am trying to find a.. bra …   I am about a 34 Dirty Delete in terms of size.” from a recent post  !

I have stopped using abbreviations on Wedding Bee. I cannot, without cringing allow “darling husband” to appear in my posts. Abbreviations were once convenient and universally understood here.  They served an intended purpose.
