I like Asa over Abel. Definitely not Abel!

All I see is “arse-a” but that might be my Aussie accent speaking 😜

I love the name Asa. Infact, I heard it long ago, forgot it and this post reminded me how much I loved it.

favoredone :

The only Asa I know is a girl, but I like it for a boy, too. Abel is fine, but you’re right about the Cain and Abel thing.

What about

  • Nathan
  • Samuel/Samson
  • Aaron
  • Micah
  • Jonah
  • Judah/Jude
  • Isaiah
  • Elijah
  • Jesse
  • Abraham
  • Asaph (Asa could be a nickname)
  • Ezra
  • Noah
  • Silas
  • James

LOVE the name Abel. Always have! My cousin named her son Cain and constanly gets reminded of the story of Cain and Abel but she doesn’t care lol.

i was friends with an asa in middle/high school.  there is also the actor asa butterfield.

as a fellow jew, i really don’t have an issue if someone named their child abel.

pick the name both you and your husband agree on.

I’ve always loved the name Luke. Not a fan of Asa, though I don’t really have a specific reason. I wouldn’t like the associations with the name Abel. Jeremiah? I’ve always liked that one.

I love the name Abel. I also like Asa and associate it with boys. I know someone who named their son Yeshua and I think it’s actually pretty cute for a little boy.
