We live in MD and it’s been unseasonably COLD this spring. By now, it’s usually around 70 and the trees and flowers begin to come back to life. But as of today, it still looks like a February day – sunny but no leaves, no flowers, no green grass. Just death.
We were supposed to take our engagement photos today OUTSIDE and we cancelled. I’m so glad we didn’t go for this date. We like warm weather and beautiful green grass and pretty flowers in bloom. We had to reschedule for some time in May but I’m worried that this terrible pattern will persist.
Anyone else schedule a wedding or engagement photos for this time of year with the expectation of having warmer temps and some fresh spring scenerey?

@TaurianDoll: lmao this is funny I live in Mstand had our e session today we had set it at the tidal basin due to the cherry blossoms but they weren’t at full bloom. We weren’t the only couple out there neither. I wore pants and a shirt while some of the other girls we seen had on skirts. We got our shots froze and eventually went to Georgetown to get some cafe shots!!! I mean I know the feeling kind of would have postponed but we were just too swamped!

I got my wedding photos, the day of the wedding, this past April in the South of france…it should have been a lovely day, but it was cold! Well, too cold for a strapless dress that’s for sure…but I toughed it out, and thank goodness I had a shawl for in between. After our photos I had hot chocolate..I was chilled to the bone! It’s nice that you were able to postpone, but even if you have other problems later, it can always work:)

I’m in Bmore, it’s actually beautiful out here today! Chilly but tolerable. Can’t do much to control nature, be happy you can reschedule the engagement shoot – probably won’t be able to do that if there’s bad weather the day of the wedding!

Now that the temperatures have warmed up, we’re battling rain. This is stupid.
Today, it’s very sunny and warm, but we had to move our photos from Tuesday (windy, rainy, cloudy) to Friday (humid and sunny).
I hope my hair holds up. I’m bringing hairpins just in case.
I don’t know how you Bees survive the stress that comes with having an actual ceremony outdoors. The weather can be a little tricky.

Our engagement shoot is next weekend, and I’m freaking out about the weather. An umbrella can be cute, but not for ALL the pics! I’m going to be staring at every weather forecast for the next 10 days!

Our engagement pictures are scheduled for Monday. Thankfully it looks like the rain will miss us, but as of now the high is only 62 (which is very low for Indiana this time of year). Luckily most of the trees have their leaves and flowers are starting to grow, so I may just have to suck it up and deal with not so warm weather. It does have me worried for our wedding date though.

Colorado is still miserable. It snowed three times this May already! Unfortunately, we’re not able to allow our clients to reschedule their e-shoots just because they wanted May flowers and green grass that just aren’t even close to there yet. We are booked every weekend, so there would be no dates to offer them as alternatives. I do feel bad for them though :-/

We had our engagement shoot in mid-January (and we live in the frigid midwest), so we did it at a conservatory that has beautiful greenhouses filled with lush trees, plants, flowers, and water features year-round. You’d never guess from the photos that it was snowing outside!
For our wedding a couple weeks ago, it was still cold (in the 40s). But it was dry and sunny, so we braved the frigid temps for an hour and a half of outdoor pics around town. I couldn’t feel my fingers by the end, but it was worth it based on the sneak peek pics we’ve seen so far.
