If you can’t get a refund for those 12 family members, why not see if a local homeless shelter can come and pick up the the food that isn’t needed? You won’t save any money, but knowing that you’ve given something nice to those in need would be a wonderful way to start married life – and a great way to share your celebrations with the wider community.

FIRST – YES, your wedding ABSOLUTELY WILL be a GREAT DAY.
I would invite 12 of the nicest people whom you know who couldn’t be invited in the first “round” to come and use up those paid-for, under appreciated invitations that “Auntie & family” had wasted. Surround yourself with love one way or the other!
NEXT- contact a few GOOD florists and explain your situation. I have been a wedding vendor for years, and I’ve never ever known a vendor who would deny help, whether by advice or even by providing some low cost options, for your centerpieces.
NEXT- sit in a quiet place listening to peaceful music and enhaling some lovely fragrances, and concentrate on growing a THICKER SKIN to the nonsensical non-help you’ve received about your gown or ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE. Your family may ( or MAY NOT) be well intentioned, but NO ONE is entitled to bring trouble to your day.
Blessings and Peace- I see a wonderful wedding in your immediate future!!!!!
