I wasn’t, and am still not sure about the “about us” section of our wedding website. It seems so odd! Am I missing something?! Everyone knows about us. Andddd then, save the dates went out 2 days ago, and I’ve already gotten 5 texts about how much people loved the about us section! Out of the entire website that’s what people keep commenting on! I wish I had known I would have put more work into it!

It was fun for us to craft our “about us” section. Our guests probably know more about one of us than the other, so the “about us” brought everyone to speed on both of us. I wrote the blurb about Darling Husband, and he wrote one about me. It’s interesting to see how your partner describes you!

Aww that’s cute! I thought what we did was just a boring little few sentences but it’s what everyone keeps commenting on!

We made ours somewhat funny:
“I tried to be a tomboy once…. it lasted for about 5 minutes until I started sweating.” – Full Name

I love all things pink and sparkely and fully believe that wearing a bright lipstick every day is a must. A girly girl at heart, I really do feel that there should be more occassions in life where you get to wear a formal dress and a tiara…. and I make no apologies for that. I LOVE my family and friends and am so proud to be one of the Co-Owners of Name of Store I own —> insert shamless plug: (http://www.website.com).
My Mama told me once that in order to get what I wanted, I needed to pray specificially. That is what I did. I wrote down EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) of what I was looking for in a man and husband.
Then I met Josh.
I truly feel that FUTURE HUBBY is my gift from God. He loves me like no other and at the end of the day, he is the one I want beside me. Even on my worst (and ugliest) days.
To all our family and friends: THANK YOU for your continued support and love. We truly do love and appreciate each and every one of you and we are so blessed that you are getting to share in our joy as we say, “I do!”.

About HIM
“I tried P90X once and it lasted a week. I tried Taco Bell once and it lasted a lifetime.”
~ FULL NAME
When I’m not moonlighting as a break dance star at your local club, I work as a production management specialist in Foreign Military sales at Robins Air Force base. Yes I have a government job. And yes your taxes pay for my salary. (Thanks by the way)
I love baseball, golfing, fishing, my family and my dog Millie (Gigi and Major, my other dogs that FUTURE WIFE brought home one day, are just ok.)
When I met FUTURE WIFE I thought she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.
She has the same interests, morals, and of course devilish good looks as me. Also with a great rear end I should add. Her… not me… although mine is darn spectacular if I do say so myself.
One year later I’m grateful for the girl that caught my eye and my heart, my future wife.
That pretty much sums it up. If there is anything else you would like to know, find me on myspace.com.

CallMeMrsG: aww that’s cute too, Fiance and I love Taco Bell! It does last a lifetime!! Here is ours, edites to take out a little personal information:
“Even though they lived in the same small town their entire lives- just a few miles away from each other- and were in the same grade at the same school, it would take years for their paths to cross. While Kyle even played Little League in the same League Destiny’s Grandfather coached, it wouldn’t be until the first day of Freshman year of high School that Kyle would finally meet his Destiny.
Kyle was hooked immediately. Destiny took a little more convincing. You couldn’t be around the couple without noticing their connection. They spent most of their high school years as High School Sweethearts. They even walked hand in hand during their graduation ceremony. Shortly after graduation they expanded their family to add the worlds most adorable and loving puppy, Barkley.
Destiny and Kyle are inseparable. You won’t see one without the other, and their puppy following close behind.
This year they will celebrate seven years together, two days before their wedding.”

I think it is nice for older and more distant relatives and friends of parents, especially if it included a story on how the couple met. A lot of people also know one of you but not the other. I liked reading about my cousin’s fiancée, how else would I have known all about her?

And of course there’s a picture of us with our perfect puppy beside the “about us.”
if I had known the response it was going to get I would have worked harder! but it makes sense that people who know one better than another could be really interested in it.
