I need some advice regarding my florist..
I have a super tight budget for my March 10, 2018 wedding so I contacted the closest Whole Foods stores that were able to do wedding flowers. Only 1 store was able to do it for me so I made a consultation appointment to go over what I wanted. The florist told me that she would be there and I could discuss things with her on October 8, 2017.
When I went in for my consultation on October 8th, she wasn’t there but she had told her assistant to be expecting me. It was completely fine because the assistant was super helpful and I was excited after seeing the florist’s portfolio because her past work was amazing. The assistant told me to email the florist the photos I showed her so she could send me quotes for everything and that I would receive a response that same week. I emailed the photos the day after the consultation and I received a spreadsheet w/ quotes from the florist a week after that (October 16th).
I noticed some items were missing or had incorrect quantities, so I edited the spreadsheet with the corrections and emailed it back to the florist. She never responded to that email so I followed up with her almost a month later. She told me she received the email with edits and would be sending me an updated copy soon as she was working on another wedding that day. She also told me I was free to drop off the deposit whenever and that her team would be made aware. This was a week ago and she never sent me the updates. I don’t even know what the deposit is since I don’t have a finalized/updated price list from her.
I totally get that she’s super busy and has multiple events going on every week and my wedding is still a few months away. I just feel concerned that I’ve never personally discussed what I want with her DIRECTLY, even though her assistant was great, and that she’s taking so long with my final list of prices. I don’t know if I should just brave it out and trust her (because she has rave reviews and unbeatable prices) or if I should look for another attentive florist.
Any advice would be great.. Thank you!
