I kept my maiden name as a middle name, and I’m publishing under a hyphenated last name (Maiden-Married). This is mainly because I’m still a grad student, so I want to make it less confusing to link my pre-marriage publications with my post-marriage publications (without just continuing to publish under Maiden).  My first publication with Maiden-Married actually won’t be published until after my name change is official, but it was submitted before that.

Im keeping my last name professionally and than using his last name as a personal alias. I am teaching in an undergraduate program and think it might be nice to have some privacy if my students know me by one name and my personal life can be under another.
