My dress is mori lee it is a simple ball gown when I first bought it I planned to get some really nice dangle earings but no necklace but now I am wondering if I should do a statement necklace with simple earrings? FYI I don’t like pearls, little pearl studs are fine but nothing more. My wedding is outside and the reception will be held in a tent outside as well. I am going for the “elegant classic” look I really need some help. My shoes will be sandals but I havn’t found them yet either. Attatched is a pic of me in the dress and a close up of the embellishment I am having sewn onto the dress. In the picture it looks like a belt (it’s really a headband) I am having the band cut off and having the flowers attatched to the dress and the veil I have on is the veil I have purchased and I do plan to wear my hair half up half down but probably with a little bit of wave in it (not a lot). Not sure if it makes a difference but I am having the crinoline removed and adding buttons so they go down the train. So suggestions?
Sorry I don’t know how to rotate the top photo….

If your wearing your hair down a statement necklace.
If your wearing your hair up I say statment earrings and a simple necklace. 🙂 No one will see your shoes anyway, so whatever you choose will be fine. I suggest wearing a shoe in your wedding color.
I am wearing plum colored peep toes with my gown.

Both a statment necklace or statment earrings will work! If your hair is half up half down, then I would say a stament necklace!

I think a simple necklace would be Elegant Classic and some sparkly diamond stud earrings.

Are you wearing the sash with the dress? If so, I think chandelier earrings with no necklace. I think it would be a better balance. You don’t want too much bling going on…just enough to compliment your beauty!

@anyers: Yes I am wearing the “sash” sorta the flowers will be sewn to the dress without the band. I have been leaning towards earrings and no necklace I guess I just needed confirmation. 🙂

- Wedding: June 2014 - Italiano's Humble
@KellyLouise: I agree. Sometimes, it’s really pretty to just keep everything simple. I plan on buying awesome earrings and bracelet, but not a necklace. I’ve been wearing a necklace with an “A” and a pacifier on it since my son was born. I took them off for my MOH’s wedding, and almost cried. She knew it was important to me not to take it off. I even said I’d do/wear whatever, as long as I could wear my necklace. She said ok. Day of, she presented these really, really, ummmm…idk, lol, kind of necklaces, and in front of everyone, asked that I wear it. I literally almost cried. I asked if I could wear them together, and she said it would look weird in pictures. What pics? There was no photographer, and only 2 pics taken of me and my XSO(best man)…
