haha it’s not bad luck.

not that i believe in superstition anyways, haha.

like PP said, it might not be a bad idea to take a picture. I did it with my wedding band before Fiance hid it, to make me stop trying it on

I accidentally saw the box that contained the ring as well!  I was like a deer in headlights for a nanosecond!

I don’t believe in luck or bad luck, so it’s more of a personal thing if you believe that silly stuff, not a universal truth, ya know?

It’s not bad luck to see the ring. Maybe he is planning out an awsome proposal thats takes a while. He will probably be doing it soon enough. =]

LOL some of you tried it on!!!  Surprised

I wanted to wait until the proposal to actually see it.  He ordered it online so even I didn’t see I in person.

I don’t think it’s bad luck. My Fiance left my ring out in broad daylight for about a week before I made him hide it. I tried it on every day!!

I’ve never heard of that being bad luck… I think he is just bad at hiding things lol.  At least you already knew what it looked like so you didn’t ruin any surprises!Smile

Yeah….your marriage is doomed because you found your ring.

(Just kidding)

Superstitions only have as much power as you give them.  Plus, I have never heard it’s bad luck finding your ring.  Just means your SO isn’t a good hider!

My one friend’s now-husband made her wait almost an entire year before she got her ring!  Hopefully your SO won’t make you wait that long.

Whats the point in hiding the ring if you all were there to purchase it or had some kind of say in the ring? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of a surprise proposal?

I would hate to have what was going on (behind the scenes), i loved that it was a surprise i had no idea he was going to propose and he did a wonderful job on the ring too – whihc made it that little bit more personalised from him <3

I found mine and tried it on. Fortunately, it was about a month after that he proposed. It was about three months from the time we picked the ring out. He still doesn’t know I found it though.

Oooh your post makes me smile because I went through the EXACT same situation. Or i guess Im still going through it since he has yet to ask! haha Its been 3 months for me too…so Yah i broke, after finding it I tried it on.  I actuallly am more at ease now because even though I picked it out i was so giddy and happy that I day I actually started wondering if I even remembered what I picked or liked it anymore! Then I started to panic.  Now that I have seen it and LOVE IT I am soo happy and relieved and can continue to happily wait! ๐Ÿ™‚  IF you break down and try it on you have to take a picture and post it! hahah
