So this was my first cycle off of bc. I started charting at the very beginning of this cycle but I did not suspect I would ovulate this cycle. I had very irregular cycles pre bc and was diagnosed with suspected PCOS but I never went through with a full evaluation. So I never suspected to ovulate Well according to fertility friend I did. Turns out my husband and I had unprotected sex two days before and the day of. I’m not sure how I feel. I’m not sure what to feel. We have discussed trying but not this soon. I know we were silly but I really thought it would take me a while to get normal if I ever did. I guess I’m not really looking for advice I just needed to get it out there. I think I will worry if we are pregnant and I think I will worry if we aren’t. We managed to accidentally time it all right and don’t get pregnant is there something wrong with me? That’s my worry if we aren’t but if we are well that’s a whole other ball game of worries.

1. The likelihood of you getting pregnant even with perfect timing is small. Even with perfect timing, and depending on your age, the probability is about 20-25% in any given month that you will get pregnant. Not sure if that will make you feel better!
2. If you don’t get pregnant this cycle there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Like I said above, the statistical probability of pregnancy occuring is not great; those who get pregnant right away are lucky. You need to try for a year before any doctor will give you the time of day regarding testing or infertility (unless you are of advanced age). To put it in perspective, I tried to get pregnant for 7 months, got pregnant and miscarried, and during my miscarriage my doctor said, “Don’t worry, you got pregnant in no time last time!”. Ummm…okay. But seriously, to medical professionals that is nothing.
The TWW is never easy no matter how it happens…I hope that whatever result you get you will be able to accept and be happy with. Just don’t worry about your fertility if it doesn’t happen!

Some bees time intercourse perfectly and it still takes a couple of cycles. It’s completely possible for you to be pregnant, but Fertility Friend could also change it’s mind about your ovulation date. Do you have your chart link? If you wanted, we have the Charters of the Hive thread and we can help you analyze your charts for the future!

@unsurebee: even with the right timing you only have a 20% chance. Getting preg is tricky business! I hope you get the outcome you want:)
