- Wedding: March 2011
Hi everyone. I already have a pair of shoes I’d decided to wear but now I am reconsidering. Hey, at least I am settled on my dress! 😉 Shoes are cheaper! Anyway the shoes I have are open toe / sandals and I really want something more closed (even if it is a peep toe) because my wedding is in March in Iowa and not yet “springtime” per se and the other shoes are quite spring-y.
I really love lace, I love vintage styles, and I am limited to around $50. I hate pointy toes and I need to keep the heel around 2″ to 2.5″, MAYBE 3″ but not much higher. No flats though or my dress will be too long. I also prefer a wider heel as I’m not all that great walking in heels and I have weak/wobbly ankles but I am also open to compromise on that if the shoe is adorable otherwise.
First of all, a pic of my dress (again) for those who have not seen it:
So here are the ones I’ve “narrowed” down to (and yeah, not very narrow I know, sorry!) Thanks if you can help me just eliminate some of these at least! I appreciate those who have been down the shoe road with me fhe first time around too. 🙂
All of these range from $20 to $50, by the way.
Shoe 1: Isaac Mizrahi Lace slingback on Ebay for about $20 plus shipping. I really like these but I am concerned they may be too high and spikey. The description says they are a 3.5″ heel (but they don’t look like it to me??) I wish I coul hack off/shorten or swap out the heel!
Shoe 2: These are cute and simple, I don’t adore but they aren’t bad and they are $20 on 6pm.com:
Shoe 3: These are funky with the silver heels but my Fiance has this “thing” about wedges (thinks they are super hot) and I like the wedge for the stability factor but I am not sure about those heels…
Shoe 4: I think these have a nice vintage feel to them and they hover around $55 but on Shoebuy with a coupon I could get them for around $45:
Shoe 5: These are similar but with an open toe which I am not crazy about BUT I love the blingy t-strap:
Shoe 6: simple and cute, maybe add a clip?
Shoe 7: Girly. 🙂
Shoe 8: These are different in that they are eyelet, with a wood look heel so maybe not dressy enough? But cheap! And pretty, I think.
Shoe 9: Cute but pretty basic, could be dressed up though.
Shoe 10: I really really like these but they are on Milanoo.com and I am a bit leary of Chinese sites, plus they take 40 days to get her and my wedding is in 48 days! So unless they have rush shipping I think they are out but I wanted to share anywa because they have a lot going on that I like:
Shoe 11: Finally, same goes for these, also on Milanoo but I really love the height, lace, everything. Almost perfect. 🙁 I don’t know why I am including these since I probably can’t get them in time but if you have seen similar elsewhere please let me know.
