Ugh…unfortunately, I am in the same boat!  Our wedding is still ten months away, but acne is something I have struggled with for years now.  I never had acne as a teenager…and then boom…hit age 23 and all of sudden am prone to breakouts…good times!  I don’t always have it…but when I break out, it’s not pretty.  I definitely worry about having acne on my wedding day.  In fact, we took our engagement pictures today and I currently have what I consider to be a major breakout.  I just did the best I could with makeup, and am hoping for the best!  I do use Proactiv, and get very good results from it (when I use it like I’m supposed to!!).  I’m not sure when your wedding is…but I would def recommend it to anyone.  However, if you don’t have a lot of time to fix it on your own…then just make sure you get a good makeup artist that knows how to cover up blemishes.  Also…and I know this is a really nasty piece of advice….but don’t pop or pick!!  Take it from someone who knows…that makes them stick around ten times longer!  Good luck!! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m 28 and it doesn’t seem fair that I’m worrying about break outs and wrinkles all at the same time. My wedding is a good bit away still, but we have engagement pictures coming up so I want to look good.  With that said, I’ve found what works for me is being very diligent about my face care. I use Clinique’s 3 step (actually 4 with their make up remover)  but I’ve found it works great for me. I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and I’ve noticed that my skin looks ALOT better.

I think the most imporant thing is to figure out what your skin care needs are and what you will really do every day and go from there.

Also a while back I found acne.org’s progra to really help me a lot as well.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

YES! I’m 31 years old, why am I dealing with this to begin with? I normally get a few here and there near that time of the month – but my wedding is three months away, and I’ve turned into an utter stressball, and my skin is taking the brunt, apparently. Specifically, on my chest. In the middle of summer. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

I’ve been using the over the counter version of Proactive, called Acne Free. Same thing, but you can buy it at Wal Mart and CVS. Seems to be helping, though not necessarily curing. I guess only getting this wedding over with (did I really say that????!) will do that.

I highly, highly recommend using honey!!! Seriously, I had been using light blemish treatments sparingly, off and on, for a while, but nothing had worked as well as honey. I use raw, unfiltered honey and dab it on problem spots and blemishes, and they disappear overnight. More problematic spots disappear in a day or so, and it it stops blemishes before the even begin. I know it sounds weird, like it would mess up your skin because it’s sugary or something, but apparently it has antibacterial properties. It took some time before I was like ok, I can try this and not freak out hah, but I was so surprised! Go take a look at what people say on Makeupalley.com- a lot of people use it for masks and such too. And it moisturizes! So you don’t end up with dry patches that the chemically stuff can leave you with! ๐Ÿ™‚ I leave mine on overnight and clean it off in the morning (mind you I just dab mine on in places, I don’t want to think about what an overnight honey mask would leave your pillow looking like ๐Ÿ˜›

Oh yes, me!! I hate it! I break out twice a month….at the beginning of my period, and mid-way (i’m assuming when I ovulate). I’m hoping I will be right in between breakouts for my wedding (August 15). I have been going to a dermatologist and have a couple of prescription medicines that have helped a lot, but doesn’t prevent them all. He mentioned the possibility of having an injection if I have a bad one a couple of days before the wedding….we’ll see. I did try Proactiv, and it didn’t work for me ๐Ÿ™ ….everyone is different, but it was definitely worth a try!

Oh, and acne usually comes with oily skin…. the best thing EVER are Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets! I use them 1x a day, mid-way through and it takes the oil right off! They are already packed in my day-of kit!!

I had acne, cleared it up with Clear. Now (similar to Pro Activ but with salicylic acid as active ingredient) cleanser and blemish treatment, and Artistry Essentials balancing toner as well as a Clear. Now oral supplement.  And then… started taking tri-phasic birth control pills, and BAM bad acne came back!!!  I finally figured out yesterday that the acne came back when I started the pill, so I talked to the doc and am switching pills, but my wedding is in 2 weeks (from yesterday).  These blemishes better disappear!!  I hate the look of heavy makeup and I just want my clear glowing skin back!

go to acnepril.com HEY it worked for me and ever since I stopped taking it my bad breakouts haven’t come back. I only get stuff ocassionally and that is easily concealed. If in the next few weeks before my big day I break out, I will start taking it again. By The Way Acnepril is rated as more effective as proactive and it’s all natural ingreds…(it’s a caplet BTW)

Ever since I left the pill my acne came back and did some research and bought Acnepril, it took my acne away in a matter of 2 months. I have occassional breakouts that maybe include one pimple and that’s it…the other stuff is pores that get dirt…overall I can say I am acne free BUT that doesn’t take away the fear of getting a pimple on the big day! so far so good! I only have stuff that gets very easily concealed. I encourage everybody to take a look at Acnepril (it’s a caplet).

The makers of Acnepril™ worked diligently for an alternative that would allow acne sufferers to find an acne treatment without such dangerous side effects. Few years ago, they invented an all natural formula that surpassed the power of prescription acne treatments without any of the side effects. <span class=”bold black”>The major difference with Acnepril™ is that it ensures PERMANENT results without causing any side effects.

<!– end of div id content-intro –>

<h2>How Does Acnepril™ Work?</h2>

Acnepril™ is the first oral acne treatment designed to deliver more powerful results than prescription acne treatments by attacking acne deep below the surface of the skin where acne actually starts to form. Eliminating the root cause of acne, the production of sebum, Acnepril™ will help you get rid of acne and keep it off for good.

<h2 class=”indent”>Acnepril™ Attacks Acne In 3 Ways:</h2>

  1. <span class=”bold orange”>Balances Hormone Levels in Your Body – Sebum is the fuel that causes acne to develop. Sebum is a result of over production of hormones caused by the upset hormonal balance in the body (which is what most teenagers experience during puberty and why acne is so frequent amongst teens). Acnepril™’s powerful formula targets the hormone producing glands that produces the acne causing oils. Acnepril™ also supports the liver keeping your body in a healthy balance.
  2. <span class=”bold orange”>Detoxify and Cleanse Your Body & Skin of Toxins – Believe it or not, our body is filled with toxins on a regular basis. These toxins exist in the food we eat and even the air we breathe. Your body stores and often manifests its toxins in your skin. Acnepril™ detoxifies and cleanses your body and skin of these toxins from the inside. You will start to see your skin change in its appearance almost immediately.
  3. <span class=”bold orange”>Strengthens Your Skin with Essential Nutrients – Acnepril™ has been formulated with essential vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements to strengthen your skin and empower it against future acne. The nutrients in Acnepril™ have been carefully selected to repair and strengthen your skin. Your skin will be stronger, healthier, and free from acne.

If you have a dermotoligist you can go in their office and they can give you a cortisone shot, it really has to be a large pimple for it to work so I am keeping my dermo’s number on speed dial

I was having major acne problems about six months ago, so I broke down and went to the dermatologist. She gave me a prescription for Differin and Duac, a retinol and benzoyl peroxide treatment, respectively. I’ve had success with both, though the drying was a problem at first. I switched to a gentle cleanser and used a scrub every other day.

If you just want a really good topical treatment for a random zit, I’d get Mario Badescu Drying Lotion. You put it on at night and it truly zaps the zit. You’ll still need to wear some concealer, but the bump itself will be gone.

I had really good results with Clindimyacin. That’s not quite spelled right, but it’s phonetic enough…haha. I got a prescription from my general physician, because it’s not super strong, but it works for body and face acne. Also, I have heard that drinking too much milk can make acme worse..yikes!!

I have a great cream that my Dr. presribed for me to use when I have rash, or break out during around the time of the month. My sisters and all my nieces and nephews use the same thing too because they are teen every now and then they break out too. If the problem is servere, it maybe take a week to get better, if not just one day or two then it will almost disppear.

It is something everyone should have in the family medicine cabinet.  I gave my co workers a little bit to try out and they all said the same, please message me and i will look up the name so you can ask your Dr. to prescribe for you.

I swear by the Clinque 3 step acne program. I’ve always had trouble with breakouts. I’ve been using it about six months and my skin has never looked better.
