I was sitting at my desk this morning when the guy next door came in and the first thing he said “WOW. It’s right in the middle of your face.” He was refering to the pimple on my forehead.
Soo.. how bad is your acne (if you have any)?
And do people ever comment on it? What would you say?
Feeling shitty because of it :/

I have mild acne I’ve dealt with since I was in middle school. It isn’t horrible, but around my period I get a nice few pimples here and there or if I am stressed. I’ve tried just about everything on the planet- and I believe my acne is mostly hormone related… so nothing I can do about it. I recently started using the Clinique Acne Solutions and it has really helped, but still break out around my period.
I’ve never had anyone comment on it, and he is a jerk for even saying anything… but he is also a guy and a lot less sensitive than a female- he probably didn’t think twice. I used to be a lot more bothered by a break out than I am now… kind of learned to live with it. Cover it up and live life 🙂

I had awful acne in my teens and 20s. The only thing that actually helped clear it up was going on the pill. And before that I had tried almost everything – creams, face washes, toners, proactive, etc. I still get the occasional pimple (usually at PMS time) & I’m 34.

I used to have it SO BAD that I would get scabs and bleed from my face at random constantly. It was so horrific that I actually had a coworker come by and say “what is wrong with your face?”… I was just mortified all the time. It kept getting worse and worse as I got older and by my mid 20’s I had seen a dermatologist and tried at least 20 different prescriptions. I was diagnosed with “cystic acne”.
Finally, she suggested Acutane as a “last resort” and it was rough… but am so happy. I try not to mention that I was on Acutane since people freak out that I was on it… but it really changed my life.

I started getting cystic acne several months ago at age 29. You know it’s really bad when people don’t even comment about it….they just keep their thoughts to themself. I started the pill a few months ago and it has improved slightly. But seriously, I’m 30 now. Why am I dealing with this?

I did Acutane and it saved my skin.

I actually went off the pill about two years ago and my face was horrible for that time (cystic)… it makes me nervous for when we want to start trying for kids and I have to go off of it.

I feel like hiding behind my hair for the rest of the day. He came in here again and pointed at his forehead.
Guys are such jerks about stuff like this.

What a loser that guy is. Who says that?
Anyways, I have about medium case acne. And it sucks!!! My mom and one of my sisters always say something, even though obviously I know. My friends never do, I love them!! I just don’t think the state of my skin is anyones business but mine, and my doctors. sheesh!

The derm put me on antibiotics at the end of last year, when my acne had gotten worse. It cleared up in the first week and my skin looked great. I feel like in the past couple months it hasn’t been that great though. My skin is red and blothcy and I still get ugly, super red pimples.

What a jerk! I can’t believe he had the nerve to say that.
I’m 28 and suffered from acne since I was 10. I’ve tried every product in the store, several creams/gels from the dermatologist and a couple of pill medications. Being on Bridal Party did help quite a bit and I use Normaderm by Vichy to keep breakouts minimal.
I’ve had people say things to me. I used to work at a grocery store and a let’s just use the word foreign lady (not trying to discriminate) would ask me “What’s wrong with your face?” all the time. She would point out my acne on a regular basis and made me feel like crap. I’ve been told that people in her culture just don’t know any better but I think that any human being should know better.

I have quite a bit of redness on my cheeks. Sometimes a little bit of acne comes along with it. Normally it’s not noticable because I wear a considerable amount of high quality makeup, but sometimes I just don’t feel like wearing makeup, and then you can see it pretty well.
Nobody has ever said anything, but if they had I probably wouldn’t have a comeback other than “well that was RUDE.” or “you’re such a treasure to be around, especially when you point out things that people are insecure about.” or I’d do the classic and classless “WELL F%*& YOU, TOO, BUDDY.” because that’s just my style. What a jerk, seriously.

I have several friends who have dealt with terrible acne the majority of their lives. The best thing I’ve ever heard of them using is ProActiv, as in that stuff sold on infomercials. I can’t believe how well thos stuff has worked for my friends.

The only thing that clears up FI’s acne is completely abstaing from sugar for a month. He has the most horrible acne you have ever seen and antibotics don’t help but when he was in police academy they didn’t allow them sugar and tada acne was gone. If only he could go back! LOL he refuses to give it up IRL as he calls it.
