I wrote a post about this a few months back, a lot of bees had pretty great ideas. Here’s a link to it.

I love the Neutragena acne kit, it has the scrub and day and night lotion.  The night lotion just helps when you have a break out.  I need to invest in some more.  Do you have oily skin?  I have pretty oily skin, the scrub has a fine enough granules that it doesn’t irritate your face.  You could try Aloe too, it helps bring down the redness and ice does too.

I have horrible acne around my chin, it is always red and bumpy (its disgusting!). Anyway, I have tried every product under the sun, and I have finally started getting my skin in good condition (a week before my wedding, better late than never I guess!).

Last week and today I got Lactic acid peels, and have been an even skintone serum which contains traces of the acid and a good hydrating gel. Next week I am going to get microdermabrasion which should reduce pore size and get rid of any red marks that are left *fingers crossed*

I love Neutrogena body clear body scrub- not the grapefruit one- the original one.  It helped me so much!  I know it says it’s too harsh for your face, but I use it in the shower everywhere.  Also, a loofah is your best friend!!

Hey amyddtz, do you normally have acne, or is it soley stress related? Stress related acne will go away on its own, provided the stress does. But lots of acne treatments are harsh on the skin, so you will want to find the right one for you. You can check out the other threads that have been posted, or even better, see a dermatologist. The reason I feel it is important to figure out exactly the type of acne you have is that you can then waste less time trying different treatments, as a dermatologist can tell you exactly what you should do to fix up your skin.

I am a fan of the acne.org regiment. Simple, cheap, and it works well.

I second the Clinique Acne Solutions. I tried so many different products before and none of them ever worked before.

When I went in to inquire, I believe they gave me a week’s sample to use and see if it helped me. It really helped because I wasn’t sure I wanted to drop $50 on something else that I believed would fail.

I third the Clinique Acne solutions…I started using it a couple months before my wedding and still continue to use it – it’s the only thing that keeps my face totally clear!  I originally bough the sample size as well which was great because it gave me a chance to just try it out without spending $$$

I used to have a pretty bad case of Acne but since using Proactive, my face is clear as can be. Sure, I still get the occasional break out (though, those are normally due to my period) but its like night and day to what I used to have. I have nothing but good things to say about the product. Worth every penny, IMO.

I’ve tried pretty much everything but accutane.

I’m on birth control, and that has made a HUGE difference. Meaning my face is still bad but it doesn’t look like a pizza anymore, lol.

A month ago my doctor put me back on Retin A, and that combined with birth control and using Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer has made my skin perfect. No joke. It took about a month, and my face got worse and peeled like crazy before it got better but it did eventually work out great. I love it! and swear by it!
