Ok… so caramelmmt was so helpful in my decision to go forward with these invites that I just had to post here now that mine are *partially* done. I just finished the ‘additional information’ cards and belly band strips for the suite… but the pix below are just of the card/envelope.

this is the invite. it’s not mirrored, i just show this to show the gold lettering.

here you can see through it…

& instead of doing silk folios, I cut my expenses but by doing black envelopes and lining them w/ a gorgeous graphic.

Hi

Live just found and fallen in love with some acrylic invitations made by Royal Panache on Etsy. However I’m in the UK and they don’t do samples so I basically just wanted to double check that you have had a good experience with them. Are you in the UK?

Many thanks in advance x

NYE2014:  Thank you so much for posting.  I have been back and forth with the options.  Can you tell me if the invites are the standard 1/8 of an inch, and if so were you please with how they fit in the envelope?  My concern is the envelope plus the rsvp will be too thick.  Thanks!

caramelmmt:  Hi, This was extremely helpful.  What size were your invitations and folios?

Thanks

caramelmmt:  Arg crap. I totally forgot about alibaba 🙁 I wanted to do acrylic invitations, but they were so expensive on Etsy that I am probalby going to go with some others. Not sure if I’m brave enough to switch over, now.

tamala.t.norris:  Yes ma’am they were standard thickness. I just a regular RSVP card tho, no acrylic. The two of them w/ a belly band fit just fine in an envelope. It was a snug fit… but I recommend that for extra cushion around the acrylic so it doesn’t end up broken. Also, don’t cheap out on the envelope… especially if you opt for square corners. They’ll rip the envelope if you don’t get quality paper…
