Ok, So I am having a courthouse ceremony with about ~10 close relatives and than a dinner at a local restaurant for about ~40 people total. We are not going to have a DJ but besides talking I was thinking about having activities/games maybe a deck of cards, board games, maybe a moonbounce something for the kids (~5 will be attending under the age of 11). These games will be on the table and available it won’t be coordinated or forced. Any suggestions, should I bring games or just let people entertain themselves with chatter. FYI, my guest and his guests will not know each other and all exist within very different age groups, family styles and lifestyles.

For the restaurant reception, are you going to have a private room? What is the atmosphere?

This is definitely not an elopement. Elopement means nobody is invited. Maybe post in receptions?

Have some music playing with a wide range of songs for all ages. Have board games and cards. Have a DIY photobooth. And trust that the guests will talk to each other and catch up.

I have seen some restaurant receptions on many of the wedding blogs, and they all just have people eat and visit. Only one full wedding had board bgames but it went with their theme (this is based on my wedding blog browsing!)
How long would you like the whole reception part to go?
