I think you do need an additional crinoline.  My dress had layers built in but I added another underneath for more stability.

I would definitely add more crinolines!  You may even need more than one!  Don’t be afraid to try on more!  Beautiful dress though!  You’ll look lovely!

Pretty dress, but in this state it looks more a-line. Definitely add more crinolines.

I agree with BirdieLove, it looks more like a slim A-line. I think adding more crinoline will help. GOOD LUCK!

I agree with the PPs that this dress just looks like a slim A-line.  If you want it to have that mermaid look you are going to need to add some volume to the bottom.  That said, I like the dress as an A-line.

i think it is much improved..u can also have it altered to be more fitting around the hips so that looks more like a true mermaid

Wow what a difference!  It looked great before but now definitely looks like a mermaid silhoutte.  Love it!

Love it!  I dunno if it is the closer shot or the extra crinoline but the bottom is stunning!

Well heck! I didn’t think crinoline would do the trick honestly, but I was very wrong. It is definitely a mermaid now and it look fantastic on you. I think that crinoline took it from nice to spectacular. Good job! 🙂
