Hello ladies! I get the honor of posting on both the wedding and baby boards at the same time!
Just to give you some background on me and Fiance and our interesting little journey…
We were going to get married in August, but I just went to my doc about 2 weeks ago and found out I have PCOS. On top of that, about 8 years ago I had my right ovary and fallopian tube removed due to large (dangerous) cysts. I had to have an emergency surgery.
So now, I’m only operating with a left ovary and tube. When the doc told me I have PCOS, she asked if having a baby bump on our wedding day would upset us. Our answer? OF COURSE NOT! We are at a great place in life and were planning on TTC immediately after the August wedding. So now, we just bumped the date to April 1st (no foolin’!).
So the awesome news is that they will be removing my Mirena in about 2 weeks! 🙂 Then we are going to try naturally until February. If it doesn’t happen by then, we will be starting Clomid! 🙂 The docs are going to run tests and see which months I ovulate in (since it only happens 6 times a year for me instead of 12)! I’m so happy and excited. Some people may view this as too much added stress, I am just happy to be starting a couple of new chapters in our lives at once.
Fiance and I have been best friends for 5 years, and on our April 1st Wedding Date we will also be celebrating our 3 year dating anniversary.
Nice to meet you all and I look forward to getting to know all of you during the process!

I’m not on the TTC boards, but I remember reading another one of your posts about this. Congrats on the decision, and good luck moving forward with the baby!
Who knows, maybe you ovulate more than you think 🙂 *I know that it’s supposed to be e/o ovary each month, but I know that my pains are only ever on the left each month. Very strange, but it makes me think that my left side is the more active one. Haven’t had any reason to test that out yet, but who knows, maybe it’s really a thing, and maybe your lefty is an overachiever, too ;-)* So happy for you and your FI!

@indibee: Aww thank you!! 🙂 I hope my lefty is an “overachiever”! We will see. Can’t wait to update with some awesome news, hopefully in the not too distant future.
@gogogiraffes: Thank you so much! 🙂 Hooray!
@regberadaisy: Yes! Thank you! The plan is really exciting. I can’t believe it’s already going to be happening! *HAPPY SQUEAL!* Hoping that babydust works some magic!
Thank you ladies so very much.. I came to these boards hoping to bounce some ideas arounds with other brides to be and ended up meeting some incredible people! I am truly grateful for the support I am getting, and I hope that I can return the favor to all of you too!

@Jd64848704: encouraging story for you. My dad is 50 (just dating this for you) and his mom was 40 when she had him. And she had half a hysterectomy (I’m not really sure why) and my dad came alone AFTER the fact.
