Hello all! I apologize if this is a double post- something happened to my first post and everything deleted. Here’s my second attempt. I went wedding dress shopping for the first time a few days ago and I fell in love with one of the dresses:
It’s Allure C511, Victoria. My only issue is that I am getting married in Roman Catholic Mass and (I need to check with my priest) but I’m not sure if he will allow spaghetti straps.
-So, should I add sleeves to it?
-An illusion bodice?
-If anyone has added something to a spaghetti strap gown, please post photos!!
-Or if you have great photoshop skills, I would appreciate it if you could add some sleeves/illusion bodice to this dress.
I’m just worried that whatever I add won’t match the flow of the rest of the gown. Or maybe I should keep looking and find a dress that is similar in everything except has sleeves/illusion bodice. What do you all think??

I’d look into lace boleros for the ceremony and leave the dress as it is. It’s beautiful!

Gorgeous dress! I personally wouldn’t add sleeves to it but I love these little dress toppers/capelets for the ceremony

It looks amazing without anything over the top, as it wasn’t designed to have anything over it. If your ceremony venue demands (or if you would feel more comfortable), I’d go with the sheer/lace bloero or capelet, but remove it for the reception. It looks amazing on you.

I agree with what others have said – get a coverup for the ceremony. The dress is gorgeous and looks fantastic on you!

That dress is gorgeous. I don’t think the priest will say you can’t wear it (unless it is a very conservative parish).
I wouldn’t alter the dress at all. I’d wear it as-is at the reception, and add an overlay topper for the ceremony. Something like this or similar.

I got married roman catholic and the priest didn’t say anything about what I could/couldn’t wear. I had thicker sleeves than that but cleavage. Maybe check?

You look INCREDIBLE. As PP’s have said, just add a bridal bolero/shrug and it will be perfect.
