Our wedding is three weeks away, and we have already received most of our items as engagement and shower gifts. We have a few items left over, but not much. Should we add items to our registry for people who would rather give gifts over cash? Would it so bad to leave nothing left and allows others to give cash or look for a gift of their liking?

I have heard that you should keep it updated, meaning add to it so that your guests can decide if they want to give you something off of the registry or money. That’s just what I have heard, but I don’t really know.

YES> Do you get a discount for when you buy to complete your registry? So it’s to your benefit to have more on there–even if it’s not for guests to guy.
Also, most people wait until the week of the wedding to buy a gift, so if it’s only 3 weeks out and most of the gifts are purchased you should add to it. That’s cool you got so many gifts!

I have heard that it is good to add items to a diminishing registry so people still have choices, but I wouldn’t add things just because you felt like you had to, if everything you wanted was on the initial list, then there is no pressure to add items “just because”

Our registry was small compared to others I’ve seen, and I would rather wait until we have a house until we buy bedding other than sheets. We were thinking of tools, but we do not have the space.
As far as I know, Macy’s and BB&B do not give discounts.
Seriously, we would like the cash but would also like to avoid any unwanted gifts from folks with very different tastes. :-/
