So after explaining my weight loss and that I needed to try on a smaller dress and possibly trade mine in, it’s in a different state, Blah blah blah…all while trying not to cry, the alterations department at Davids took me to the back of the very crowded store and put my mind at ease. Our colors are black and white, very classic, and I kept having this feeling my dress was missing something…turns out, $15 bucks and a smaller dress was all it took to make me feel at ease again. Opinions of adding black to my dress? My girls are wearing short black cocktail dresses and FI’s tux is black by Vera Wang.

I think it looks really pretty with the black!

looks nice and I do like black as a wedding colour as well as belts/sashes, but in this case I feel it’s hiding some of that beautiful detail on your dress. It’s a stunning dress, you look perfect in it, I love the shape and lace detail.

I love the black! My only change would be to add a bit of sparkle with a pin or broach in the centre of the sash!

wow! Absolutely stunning! The black belt makes the dress!
If you dont not mind me asking – how much weight did you lose and in what time span? Also, what worked for you? Im a Bee in need of ideas!

Love it!! I agree with the idea of maybe just trying a pin or a broach, but even without I think it’s gorgeous!

You look absolutely lovely . I would have a narrower sash with less hanging down at the back and I would second the sparkly (or pearl) brooch idea on it too.
You are an inspiration weight loss wise !

Pretty dress and sash! I agree that adding a pretty broach to it would be even better.

I lile the look but think the size of the sash os a bit.overbearing to the dress. I would chose a thinner one
