I voted for “other idea” even though I don’t have one. I think that the torso on that dress is already so small, that adding any kind of colored ribbon will only detract from the dress.

I voted other. Personally I do not like adding color on dresses. I think that would be beautiful with a crystal belt. If you love adding color to it, why not colorful shoes or a hairpiece?

The dress is great as is…I don’t think it would look as good if you try to add color to it.  If you want to add color, do that with your jewelry.

Your dress doesn’t have a natural waist, so a waist belt (unless it was a bejeweled one) wouldn’t make sense.

But a thin ribbon under the bust would work!

I would go for a glittery belt with blue ribbon instead of white, though!

I’m doing a dyed crinoline under my dress. I intend to lift the dress a little for some of the photos so it shows. Another option would be to wear a colourful necklace. I think a sash would look weird on that shape of dress though.

I would add a colored ribbon to the corset. Lovely dress!

I agree with pp, I wouldn’t add a colour to your dress. It is beautiful as it is.

That dress has a basque waist, so either ribbon option would look awkward and misplaced. Maybe use a colored ribbon in the corset or dye the crinoline or use colored beading on the bodice. But if it were me, I’d leave it alone. The dress works because of it’s fairytale princess quality. I wouldn’t mess that up with a colored accent.

First off, props for using a pic from the wedding planner 🙂 and second maybe a beaded belt?

the two options you posted were ok, but your dres is already so beautiful it would be a shame to take away from it.
