(Closed) adding a corset

it can be done – the seamstress would probably add some boning to the back of the dress to support the corsetry, add a modesty panel and make loops for the lacing.  That said, it will probably cost more than you paid for your dress to find a seamstress who will do a good job of it. 

However!  Is there extra fabric from your hem?  You might be able to just add a panel to either side of the zipper, making your dress fit beautifully and saving yourself the expense of a corset back.

I plan on having a corset added to my dress if doesn’t have one already (haven’t chosen my dress). I’ve asked several different seemstress about the cost and have been quoted anywhere from $50-$75. That’s in South Carolina though so I’m not sure what it will be like in your area. I love corsets! Good luck and congrats on finding your dress!
