have you considered adding a solitaire enhancer/wrap as a wedding band?  I love love my solitaire but fell MORE in love with it with an enhancer.  My ring is probably not your style since its yellow gold with a round stone but its just an example πŸ™‚

my e-ring alone:

with my wedding band:

You could always add a halo head to the ring.  Switching out the head on a solitaire is fairly simple.  A beautiful diamond band will also add a lot of sparkle!

I added a sapphire and diamond wedding band to my solitaire and I love it.

With a solitaire you could always get a wrap like this:

1/5 CT. T.W. Diamond Vintage Collar Wrap in 14K White Gold - Zales

And add a wedding band.

Or just get a blingy band. I went with a half eternity diamond band to bling up my solitaire.

I really think that adding a band that has a row of diamonds (or other gemstones) is enough to bling up a solitaire. plus you can wear it w/o the e-ring if you want.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose: That is a really pretty wrap!  Oooh….yay sparklies!!  πŸ™‚

That is what I did with my solitaire (added a wrap).  I would love, love, love to get a diamond anniversary band somewhere down the line.

@grapefruitlove: I am not married yet so as of now I am just wearing the e-ring.  however i had hoped to be able to wear it with the wrap sometimes, and a plain band others, but it doesn’t stay together and looks dumb when it comes apart so I am going to have to get them soldered together.  When they come apart they look like this:

this picture happened unintentionally– thats how easily they separate πŸ™

Yay ring sharing!!!!

e-ring with guard:

e-ring + guard + band (needs resized)

e-ring + band, no guard (that ring is not mine–it’s 6prong and mine is 4, but for an idea)

I love options!!

I totally vote for a wrap.  You can wear it before the wedding if you get a band to go with it, and then you have SO many different options!!  I had a total of 3 wraps eventually, I loved changing it up Smile  Usually, a diamond (or gemstone) wrap is cheaper than a really blingy band too!  I had a princess cut solitaire that I added a wrap to before I got married, and then got a wedding band too πŸ™‚

I don’t have any pics anymore of all of my rings together (most accidentally got deleted) as I had my solitaire remade when my husband passed away, but here’s the ones I could find, I’m sorry they’re blurry πŸ™
