SweetAmara :  I wouldn’t spend money decorating the outside of a venue, particularly in the context of hosting and paying for two weddings in two different countries. Your guests will only take a cursory glance as they pass by.

If I were to do anything, I would place a vintage style bench on either side of the door with perhaps a planter. You might even be able to borrow the benches and the planters. It will add a decor element in keeping with the venue, and give your older guests a place to sit while someone else parks the car.

Hi Bee!! Will you be doing a K1 visa? My almost Fiance and I will likely be doing that! For the US ceremony, why not do it in a gorgeous city hall or courthouse? That’s what we’re thinking of! We’re looking at San Francisco City Hall.

As for your Austrailian venue, I agree I wouldn’t do a whole lot to the outside on your tight budget. Plus, it really doesn’t look bad. If anything, add either some wreaths (could be fake) to the doors, or use a giant pot of flowers on either side, but make sure they can be re-used, like a family member can take them home afterwards.
