I am getting married in Nov, perfect timing for all the holiday goodies that have been coming out the past week or two. (I’m lookin at you, C&B)
My Fiance and I just moved in together and have 0 Christmas decorations or servingware. Would it be weird to add stockings, decor, holiday themed platers and things? Some things have already been purchased, so it will be very obvious that I am adding after the fact.
What do yall think? Have any of yall done this and were the items actually purchased, or were they overlooked for the normal, more practical things?

I say go for it! We debated asking for summer stuff, but by the time most people bought – it would be gone and not able to be found anywhere.
People register for LOTS of different things, so holiday decor wouldn’t be so odd. Heck, I’d probably buy something like that for a friend!

texaslemon: I say go for it! For my two friends that got married in November, I gave them each ornaments that were personalized for their new marriage. I would totally be the person who buys the seasonal items off the list. They are the things no one really thinks about, but how else are you going to get your ornaments and seasonal decorations? And it would be more sentimental to be given as a wedding gift.

I still say the best wedding shower gift I ever saw was someone buying a box of seasonal decore items for the bride. How useful! Go for it.

texaslemon: we put a tree star on ours since we didn’t have one and it would be nice to think of the gifters each time we decorated our tree.
