When you say it has sleeves now , do you mean those wide straps ? Well, anyway, I really like it as its, but if you have a yen for sleeves  I think plain  close fitting illusion 3/4,  or even longer,  sleeves would  look lovely. .

Yes, your alterations person ought  to  able to show you with some  spare illusion-type material what it would look like with those sleeves and than you can make a decision.  Beautiful dress btw.

Pretty straightforward. If you are having your dress hemmed, the seamstress can lift lace or detail from the fabric and place it. They can also show you how they would place it before it’s sewn on, so you can get a visual if you will like it or not. I had this done, and had them change the shape of the straps to get the placement I wanted 🙂 Depends on how much fabric you have available to use, but could get them wider of course! Good luck!
