The sleeves are easy, it is the corset that is challenging. It cannot be determined with the pictures you sent. You will have to see a seamstress, they can see the understructure of the dress and if it is possible

I suggest you go see a seamstress, at David’s or not. David’s tend to be a little more expensive from what I hear. They can give you the answers to your questions.

What a beautiful dress.  A seamstress could change the back to a lace-up which gives you more options for a better fit, and then some boned shapewear underneath would look great.

You can wear a separate corset underneath and the have the dress altered to your measurements with the corset. That’s how they used to do it back in the day. You just need to find a corset that won’t show  with your neckline.

Love your dress! I’m also plus size and am going to be adding sleeves to mine as well.

FYI:  on some gowns at David’s they have copyright rules that forbid them from making certain changes to certain gowns.  My gown for example was worrying me at first because it has longer than average 3/4 sleeves and I was worried about it in August and considering getting them shortened a bit.  The consultant had a huge list she carried that listed things that were not allowed to be done to various dresses per copyright.  They way around that for several reasons?  Don’t get your alterations done at David’s: way too expensive!
