KapOct18:  congrats on the 40 pound weight loss! That is really something to be proud of. I can relate to the upper arm insecurities. That dress is one of my favs on the DB website, so classy!

What about something like this:

Congrats on the weight loss!!!  I think you should do whatever makes you feel the most beautiful in your dress.  If you do choose to add sleeves, I think 3/4 length sleeves tend to be the most universally flattering and comfortable.

Congratulations on your weight loss! I am sure you looked beautiful before and look even more beautiful than you realize now. I love your dress! I don’t think lace sleeves would look good with it…the texture of lace is just so completely different from anything on it. Perhaps something more like Bridey77 posted in the top picture would match it better and make you feel more comfortable in it.

First of all, huge congrats on the weight loss…I have a similar issue with my arms and am trying desperately to get my arms toned for the wedding but I still think I’ll be adding some sort of lace sleeves no matter what as I really love the look of them! I tried on lots of different dresses including strapless ones and I played about with adding different sleeve lengths.

This pic isn’t the dress I went for but it’s a similar style to yours so might give you an idea of what yours could look like…it’s a strapless dress I tried on with a lace ‘jacket’ worn underneath which I would have had sewn into the dress…

You could check out Tulip Bridal. Several bees have purchased from there and been satisfied–and at the very least, you can get an idea of what different styles look like.
