Hi fellow bees! Hope you’re all having a happy Thursday! 🙂 I really need some help. I bought this dress and I LOVE it so much but I am in need of adding some straps to it. The company I bought it from did not have any to offer and I am looking for some inspiration or ideas on what would look best. I love the keyhole back look but since this dress is a tulle ball gown with beaded satin bodice I am at a loss on what to do. And I don’t the straps to hinder the dress any, but compliment it. I have my first alterations in April and could ask my seamstress but would love to hear your thoughts first. Any pictures, links to shops with straps that would match, would be awesome!! Thanks Bees!! 🙂

It might depend on the purpose of the straps – are you looking for coverage, support? Something like tulle straps would be beautiful on that dress. Like this:

Thank you so much for the picture. I really like the idea! I’m small chested and although I know my seamstress could “glue” me into it no problem, I rather not go the whole night self-concious about slipping. I wore a strapless dress to prom once and I thought about my girls the whole night. I rather not repeat the occurance on my wedding day.

What about a top like this? My bff had her grandmother’s gown cutsom redesigned and had a gorgeous light chiffon (could use tulle if that’s what your dress is) illusion neckline with a keyhole in the back. I’ll admit, the quality of the first dress is questionable, but the look is similar to what I’m thinking of.

It could easily have longer sleeves as well
I personally love this look, it’s so lovely.
ETA: All you really need is an idea and a good seamstress.
