I am trying to decide if it’s going to be possible to add straps to my dress. I guess I know it would be possible but I cannot decide if it would just look completely out of place..
So, I’m looking for before and after photos of people who added straps, sleeves or a bolero to their strapless dress.
Here is my dress.. I don’t have any photos of the chest area without my hair covering my shoulders but you get the idea..

I don’t think that would really be difficult at all. In fact, I’ve seen gorgeous sheer cap sleeves added to a dress that looked *very* similar to that.
It would look totally fine.

I totally think it would work… I’ve seen beautiful pics of that as well.

I think it would look lovely with straps.
Here’s what I did with my dress:
Without straps on my wedding day…
With straps at my reception…
Here’s a close up of the straps…

You can add cap sleeves OR you could add thin lace straps – what I’m thinking of is kind of like spaghetti straps that have a lace overlay, that won’t be too thick, but would still match the lace.. something kinda like this:

Thank you everyone. I’m really just trying to “break up” my shoulders. I have never broad shoulders that really look best with something on them, not completely bare… Why I got a strapless dress I have no idea….
If anyone has any more photos for inspiration, I would love to see them.
Anyone have any experience with putting straps on then taking them off (before the big day of course) if they didn’t come out right? For example, if I had a seamstress put them on then they weren’t what I wanted, could she just take them off? (Of course I would pay for it…)

Bump – Anyone have any strapless before and after photos? Meaning, a strapless dress and then photos of it after straps were added??
