My Mom’s dress for my wedding is strapless and she is getting smaller capped sleeves added to her dress.  They are taking the fabic left over after they hem the dress to make the sleeves out of it for no extra cost.  I know plenty of people (someone on one of the boards posted their dress in which they added a halter) that add the sleeves w/o them ripping.

I ordered my dress the 1st week in August 2009 and it won’t be in until end of March  :o(  But I would definitely call and ask….Let them know your mom/gramma/FMIL/friend wants to come in for the 1st dress fitting and you wanted an estimate of when it would be arriving so you know they will be available (or something like that)  LIE LIE LIE!!  hahaha

I’m adding straps to mine too!  It’s an allure dress #8593, it came with the straps with beading on them already and hooks, but I decided to have them sewn on instead for more support.
