I am one of these bees :). I am purchasing sew-on Swarovski crystals from fire mountain gems.com and having my seamstress sew them on :). I may also be purchasing more appliques to apply to my dress as well by my seamstress. :). Swarovski crystals aren’t too bad on price, but they are on the pricer side of crystals and rhinestones of course.

@manda209: I am a bride who has Swarovski crystals all over my wedding dress.. I didn’t add them, they came on the dress and I’m in LOVE! I’m wearing Casablanca 1996. I knew before I started shopping for a dress that I wanted beading all over and I can’t believe I found it! Swarovski crystals are beautiful it will be a nice touch!

@Rileyxoxo3: this was gonna be my other pick. I LOVED Casablanca 1996! It is the dress that makes me have dress regret against my Mori Lee 2909 dress :/. Both are different I was in love with BOTH! BEAUTIFUL gown though!

Depends on the look you want – my Madison Marie has an applique with pearls/crystals on it and I just want to fill it in a bit more and add some sparkle. I bought crystals like the ones it already had – swarovski round and navette (marquise) shapes and they are already in a silver prong setting that has holes built in to sew them on. I bought 5 dozen from http://www.dreamtimecreations.com and they were pretty reasonable, and because its not really that many and I have the original applique to sew onto it shouldn’t be that hard. If you want to add a lrage design I would go with an applique rather than sewing the whole design from scratch!

@Rileyxoxo3: because it had a corset back already and it was cheaper than Casablanca :o/ and tha family liked the way the bodice draped over my stomach than the other one.

My dress is covered in Swarovski crystals I think they are so lovely… I don’t know much about adding them to dresses but I do think it’s a great idea =)

I bought 3 dozen EH13304MM10X5CRY (marquis) and 2 dozen A53201SS18CRY/SIL (rounds). The rounds are especially sparkly and I almost wish I’d bought more of them!

My dress already had both shapes in silver settings, almost identical to what I bought. It also had Swarovski Lochrosen rhinestones which are a half-round type deal but very sparkly. I didn’t buy any because you had to buy so many at a time but it all depends on what you have on your dress. If you take a close up picture of any beading or rhinestones you want to match you can send it to dreamtime and they should help you figure out what they are,

I also used discount code 5301retail since it was just over $50 and got 10% off or if you spend less use TJOOS for 5% off.

I haven’t attached the extra crystals yet, but here is a closeup of the beading, I think you saw the full dress on the Maggie dress post 🙂 And I have to give credit to the bee I bought my dress from, she did the same beading on her dress and helped me find the beads I needed to get an exact match.
