I’ve made a list of all the generic questions, but didn’t know if you guys had any ones I may not have thought of, or ones that would lighten the mood so I’m not pounding her like a job interview.
Also, I found her VIA these boards, so thanks for that! If you want to take a look at her work and tell me what you think, I would really appreciate it.
This is our biggest splurge for the wedding and we are paying for her all by ourselves, so I want to make sure we make the right decision.

I’ve already thumbed through those, was just looking for anything additional. Thanks for your reply!

My biggest thing is the level of the photographers interference. I want our photographer hand off and try to capture the shots without interfering with the moment. I would just talk to them about how you see their role in the wedding.

what are questions you already have?? That way I can help give you some.
Ask them to walk thru a typical day w/you so you know what to expect.
How much time will they need with you to take pictures after the ceremony?
What size mega pixel is their camera and do they use the full use of it. Meaning if they have a 21 megapixel camera are their settings at 21 or 12. (Yes it does make a difference in picture and why have a camera w/that ability and NOT use it??)
Would you take pictures/come to the rehershal/dinner?? If so, would there be an additional charge, how much? (one guy I like said he would do it for free)

Here’s an article from Real Simple magazine that you should definitely check out:
You want to ask the photogrpaher to show an entire wedding, from the preparation to the reception. If your reception will be held at a low-light environment, you should definitely check if the potential photographer can handle such situations.
