I am planning on sending out my save the dates soon and have an etiquette question regarding our return address. My fiance and I live in two different states right now. Which return address should be the one used on the Save the Date? And since we won’t be living together until after the wedding..which return address should I use for our invitations?

I was in the same situation and I used my parents address for both

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
@beccawengel: We had post card Save-The-Date Cards so I didn’t put a return address on them. But for invitations I would put the return address of wherever you want the RSVPs to go so people don’t get confused.

I’m in the same situation.
For my family/friends, I used my address for our Save-The-Date Cards. For his family/friends, I used his.
I won’t be moving to his state until just a few days before the wedding, so I ordered return address labels with his address for the invites. If gifts need to be sent, or they get returned by the post office for some strange reason, then they need to go there. I don’t want to be responsible for shipping gifts there that could have gone there in the first place.

You could use either. Will you be moving to one of those addresses after the wedding? If so definitely use that one in case people send gifts using it etc.

Use the address for wherever you want any gifts shipped. At the moment, that’s my parents’ place, as both of us are living in very temporary places.

We are moving before our wedding and don’t know where, so we just used my parents address for save the dates and will do the same for invitations. I didn’t want to change the address in case someone loses an envelope and just finds the return address from the save the date postcard.
