@blondiegirl:  Are you talking about the invitation itself or the envelopes? I addressed the envelopes myself but had my invitations printed with the Venue’s  address.

Supposedly you’re SUPPOSED to hand address every envelope – preferrably by a professional choreographer.  Personally, I think either goes – although I wouldn’t use pre-printed labels, if you’re going to print the envelopes I’d print directly on them.  Most invites I’ve receieved lately have been printed not hand written

I had printed my envelopes, and GASP.. I’m not a calligrapher, nor do I have any fancy handwriting. But I like the idea of hand addressing every one personally, so that’s what I did.

@blondiegirl:  You’re supposed to have the address calligraphied or hand-written. IMO, calligraphy > hand-written > printed >>> labels.

@blondiegirl:  Yep. Calligraphy is so expensive though that I really don’t judge anyone who handwrites their addresses.

I Addressed every one of ours. I’m not a calligrapher but I just have pretty nice handwriting which sufficed.

I have ok handwriting, I only had 35 invitations to address and didn’t mind getting a great gel pen and addressing them.

All the envelopes I addressed are probably floating around landfills across the country by now. I wouldn’t stress too much about this OP, If you can afford a calligrapher by all means go for it, however, there is nothing wrong with hand writing them yourself:)

@blondiegirl: HA!! I haven’t written cursive since school and that was a Loong time ago. I just hand printed mine they actually turned out nice:) I ordered extra envelopes just in case I made a mistake and I’m glad I did! You should be fine hand printing them.

Hand printing is fine. People aren’t judging your handwriting (except the post office, and then only if it’s illegible).
