For all of my friends thats what I did. Most of my family and FI’s family we already had and got from our parents. I think its totally ok to do this. Just make sure to tell everyone not to “respond to all” and only give their addresses to you. For most of the weddings that I have gone to/will go to this is how they got my address also.

HELLLLLLL Yes! Addresses are a pain in the butt to find! And definitely not worth the stress!

@ToLoveBeLoved: I would exhaust all other options first but if thats the only way to contact them, I dont see an issue with it. Definitely a message though, not a wall post!

i think its fine. i did it too. but i would send individual messages. so no worries about the “reply all” happening. Just copy and paste the same message, won’t take too long.

@dynamic_duo: That is what I ended up doing…Teddy did the same message to everybody…and that ended up being kind of annoying to everyone else when they had 10 fbook message replies of peoples’ addresses.

Yep, I sent individual messages because of the automative “reply all” feature.

Yeah we texted or facebooked friends for addresses.  I got family and family friends from our moms, but I also double checked every address against the phone book/white pages.

That’s how I got email addresses for some of my FH’s guest list.
