I keep everything in Google Docs, that way my parents and my fiance can add when they get addresses!

I am keeping them in an excel file and uploaded it to Google docs. Once the wedding is over, I will start to add them to my contacts in Google for the long run.

We entered them into an Excel spreadsheet. I particularly love it because we’ve been able to add RSVPs, welcome bbq attendees and the gift that we’ve been given (as well as whether we’ve done the thank you card).  Luckily, fiance is a programmer, so much of the information gets pulled straight from the wedding website when people enter their info.

I second Google Docs. We’ve got one for everything — addresses, guest list, thank yous, vendors, due dates, rehearsal dinner list, liquor list… me, my fiance, and my parents can all access and change it, which is great.

Lol!  If you would like a pre-made template, you can PM me your email…  or maybe we already have something available on the Wiki?

To the girls who don’t know how to start a spreadsheet, I suggest using the Google Docs template (that’s what I did).  Everything is already set up for you!

The best thing about either program is volia! You’re ready for Christmas cards, etc. I live in Excel…my entire wedding lives in excel…

I have mine in excel, split into four tabs: Bride / Groom / Friends (both) / Maybe list. I didn’t know you can upload excel files into Google Docs, I’m totally on that.

If you create header tabs, you can rearrange it however you want, depending on what you want to know (ie, how many RSVP’s, how many kids, how many chicken vs shimp entree, etc). Create a master database, then uses different pages to suit your current info needs.
