I’m addressing the envelopes for my invitations (Friday night, woo! This wedding is killing my social life…) and have a few quesitons:
-Am I supposed to write out streets like “70th street” and “121st street”? How do I write that? Seventyth street? That looks seriously wrong…
-Do I leave “Washington DC” as is, or is there something I’m supposed to write for DC?”

I would leave the numbers as numbers. Otherwise it gets a little too confusing for the mailmen. And I would leave DC alone (and any other state abbreviation in order to avoid postal confusion).

“Seventieth” would be the correct way of spelling it.
I found this online: Figures are used in zip codes and housed numbers. Numbered streets are written out. For example: Fourteenth Street, not 14thStreet, or One Hundred and Twenty-fifth Street, not 125th Street.
I, however, just wrote “70th.” I’d also just write Washington DC. The less writing, the better for me 🙂 (I’m also not a follower of all the etiqutte rules!)

I know locally where I am from 10th Street and Tenth Street can be different things so I would go with how people gave you their address in the first place.
