Maybe I’m old fashioned, but I can’t stand address labels on anything to do with a wedding.  Weddings are special and deserve special treatment.  If you don’t like your handwriting, do you have a friend or family member who would be willing to write them out?  If not, write them out yourself, who cares if the handwriting isn’t perfect?

I think they’re fine but I know old-fashion etiquette wise they are not.  Depends on the casual-ness of your wedding.

I think it’s fine for Save the Dates, but I personally appreciate when a couple takes the time to hand address invitations.

If your handwriting is bad, you can always shadow print directly onto the envelopes in a light gray and go over it by hand in ink. Or you can just accept your bad penmanship and make your invitation addresses quirky and fun.

If you decide on labels, I think printing directly on the envelope is better, or that you should do really pretty labels, like the wrap-around ones, so that it looks like a style choice instead of a fallback because you didn’t want to make the effort.

Are you talking about the envelopes? Doesn’t everyone just toss the envelope out? I know I do. I say it doesn’t matter if you’re handwriting is bad, so long as it’s legible enough for the post office to read it.

Envelopes get thrown away 2 seconds after they’re ripped open. So no, it doesn’t matter what they look like!

@Pinkmoon:  I have the envelopes and invitations for every important wedding I’ve been invited to.

@mrsSonthebeach:  I definitely think you are the exception to the rule though.

I think it depends on the formality of your wedding. If you are having a casual wedding, I say go for it, but try to make it look nice. Maybe use clear labels?
