We have no inner envelope for our invitations which is fine. But my question is, do I put “and guest” on the invitations for those that are getting a plus one? Our RSVP cards have a line indicating how many seats are reserved for that invitation. So for those getting a plus one, it’ll say that they have two seats but I was just wondering if I also needed to put “and guest” on the outside?

I am contemplating the same thing. I think that just having the number of guests read 2 on the RSVP card is fine. Unless you know the name of the guest and they live together. That’s what I’m going by anyways!

@OttawaBride2011: I was thinking of doing that. I just realized we only have two invitations (out of 25) that we don’t know the name of the guest (only three plus ones actually but one is in a serious relationship). So those two will know that they have a guest so I guess I could have worked it out. That makes me feel better about not writing it though knowing someone else is doing that.

Being on a tight budget, I plan on getting simple invitations and response cards (my own design) from Vistaprint. I plan on doing the “__ seat(s) have been reserved” on the response cards and no inner envelopes. I think it will be obvious enough that they get a plus one. 🙂

We are also including the total number invited on the RSVP as mentioned.
