I used to be military.  I think it’s kind of rude to distinguish a spouse as a civilian.  Civilian spouses are an unspoken backbone of the military.

I would say SSgt John and Jane Military.

Staff Sergents are not senior officers. They are enlisted, non-commissioned officers. Traditionally, titles are only used for commissioned officers. So you would make out the invitation “Mr and Mrs. John Military” if you want to be particularly correct.
